Daniel Tomlinson, MD, FACOG, has been practicing full-spectrum obstetrics and gynecology since 1981. He received his undergraduate and graduate training at the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine. As an undergraduate he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and he completed his medical degree in the top 3 percent of his class. Dr. Tomlinson accomplished his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center.

Commonly referred to as ‘Dr. Dan’, he is well suited for his career. He is a physician who loves people and welcomes the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. He helps women to prevent, manage and /or overcome their medical aliments in pursuit of a better quality of life. His deeply rooted Christian faith is viewed as an asset by many of his patients. He considers his medical talents a gift and celebrates the opportunity to apply his skills as he attends to his patients with sensitivity and compassion.

Along the way, “Dr. Dan” has been privileged to attend nearly 5,000 births, and enjoys caring for both routine and high-risks pregnancies. He is committed to longitudinal gynecological care and encourages health maintenance by providing annual physical exams. His specialty includes the treatment of bleeding disorders, vaginal surgery, and urinary conditions and is currently the only physician in Southern Oregon to be credentialed in the use of the DaVinci computer assisted robotic laparoscopic surgical system.

“Dr. Dan,” the author, has penned two inspirational books and is delighted to share what the Lord has revealed. His just-released paperback is entitled Birth Pangs, in which he tells how the stages of pregnancy are an allegory for God’s plan of redemption. From creation to the second coming of Christ, he demonstrates how God has outlined his plan for the ages through the miracle of birth.

His new book, A Women’s Silent Testimony, will be released in 2009. In it, Dr. Dan describes the illuminating parallels he has observed between spiritual truths and birthing.
