Karen Ingram, CNM, brings more than 35 years of experience in women’s health care to help her patients achieve physical, emotional and spiritual balance. Karen has come full circle in women’s care. She received a BS in nursing from the University of Florida, then a certificate of nurse-midwifery from the University of Mississippi. While practicing midwifery, she delivered more than 1,500 babies. Now a woman-in-transition herself, Karen’s focus is on well woman gynecological care, perimenopausal and menopausal issues including hormone replacement and balancing, osteoporosis, abnormal pap smears and colposcopy,as well as the physical and emotional ups and downs of this time of life.
Karen believes that the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected, and that achieving a healthy balance is key to a woman’s overall health and well-being. She devotes a large part of her care to helping women find and maintain this balance. Karen uses both traditional and alternative solutions to help her patients toward a more youthful health and spirit.
When she’s not spending time with her children and grandchildren, you’ll find Karen outdoors, biking, gardening, or even cross country skiing. She is also a member of the Ashland Rowing Club.
